Painting

 

I spent many hours carefully painting delicate details. I used Genesis Heat Set paints with my dedicated oven for dolls to gradually build up realistic, layered skin tones over several weeks. To complete my work, I finished her skin with ‘Gemini Heat Set Matte Varnish,’ giving her a light texture finish.

 

Body

 

Gracie Mae has her own specially made quality cloth body with full vinyl arms and full vinyl legs, which can easily be moved for posing.

I have used the Bonnie Brown technique to give very newborn pulled up legs.

Her head can also be turned. she is weighted in her limbs, head, and bottom, with soft fibre fill surrounding the weighting for support and a realistic feel. her head and limbs can be gently repositioned for natural posing and positioning.

she has a LLE wrap around gender neutral tummy plate which I have used pink ribbon so you have the option to tie this on to her, she also has a detachable magnetic umbilical cord

Eyes 

 

Gracie Mae has open deep blue eyes with hand rooted eyelashes. These eyes were made especially for Gracie by Emma Robinson from Be Mine Originals, these eyes will come home with the a limited edition certificate from Emma. 

 

Hair

 

I used baby Brown slumberland mohair hair, this hair is natural and soft. I would not recommend washing his hair too often, as it isn’t necessary, but occasional spraying with water and gently brushing will be perfectly fine. a BabyDollArtUK brush will be provided for him, her hair is directionally rooted and has been sealed inside to help prevent shedding,.

 Sizing

 

Gracie Mae is the size of a just born baby. I have found both Tiny and first size baby clothing fits her well , just depends on brand and how you like the fit of clothing on your babies, All of the clothing I have purchased for her are tiny and first size.

 

Gracie is weighted to approximately 5lb . I use fine glass beads and fibre fill. she is lovely to hold but you will need to support her when you're lifting and holding her as she is floppy

 Magnets

 

Gracie has a magnet fitted behind her mouth to enable her to hold her magnetic dummy, she also has magnets on her tummy plate and umbilical cord (Please note, the magnets I use are extremely strong neo magnets and can pose a risk around pacemakers. If needed, feel free to message me to have them removed.)

 

Adoption

 

If you are considering adopting Gracie Mae for a younger collector, please keep in mind that she is not a toy. she contains small parts. she has been made with collectors in mind and must be handled with care and love.
