I have taken a few months’ break from being online, and during this time I quietly made Mummy’s Boy. I’m so excited to share him with you! I think he is super cute, and I’ve really enjoyed creating him. I’m very pleased to present him to you.

Mummy’s Boy has been sculpted by Ruth Annette. I have kept his original sculpt name, although you are welcome to give him a new name if you wish.

I have dressed Mummy’s Boy as a little boy, but he has a gender neutral tummy plate, so please let me know if you would prefer to receive him dressed as a girl.

I took many photos of little Mummy’s Boy in my workshop in natural daylight. I’ve selected a small collection to share in this listing, but you can see all of the photos I’ve taken on my Facebook and Instagram pages.

I spent many hours carefully painting delicate details to reflect a more newborn skin tone. I used Genesis Heat Set paints with my dedicated oven for dolls to gradually build up realistic, layered skin tones over several weeks. To complete my work, I finished his skin with ‘Gemini Heat Set Matte Varnish,’ giving him a light texture finish.

Mummy's Boy has his own limited edition body with 3/4 vinyl arms and 3/4 vinyl legs, which can easily be moved for posing. His head can also be turned. he is weighted in his limbs, head, and bottom, with soft fibre fill surrounding the weighting for support and a realistic feel. His head and limbs can be gently repositioned for natural posing and positioning.

Mummy's Boy has closed sleeping eyes with hand rooted eyelashes.

I used baby blonde slumberland mohair hair, this hair is natural and soft. I would not recommend washing his hair too often, as it isn’t necessary, but occasional spraying with water and gently combing with the detailing BabyDollArtUK small brush will be perfectly fine. his hair is directionally rooted and has been sealed inside to help prevent shedding,.

Mummy's Boy is the size of a very new born slightly early baby. I have found tiny baby size clothing fits him well , just depends on brand and how you like the fit of clothing on your babies, All of the clothing I have purchased for him are a range of tiny and prem size.

Mummy's Boy is weighted to approximately 4.5lb . I use fine glass beads and fibre fill. he has a weighted floppy head and his arms and legs are also floppy so you must support him when lifting and holding him.

Mummy's Boy has a magnet fitted behind his mouth to enable him to hold his magnetic dummy (Please note, the magnets I use are extremely strong neo magnets and can pose a risk around pacemakers. If needed, feel free to message me to have them removed.)

If you are considering adopting Mummy's Boy for a younger collector, please keep in mind that He is not a toy. he contains small parts. he has been made with collectors in mind and must be handled with care and love.

I am always very proud of my box packing, and I share videos of these on my social media pages. Mummy's Boy will arrive with a thoughtful box opening experience, including quality new items and accessories. as he is a smaller baby I have already selected a special size box for him to travel home safely in.
