I am delighted to share Charlotte with you. I have thoroughly enjoyed creating her, and those that follow my work know I especially love working on babies and toddlers of this size. Bringing Charlotte to life has been a wonderful process, and I am excited to present her to you.

Charlotte has been sculpted by Laura Lee Eagle in the likeness of her own granddaughter at 11 months old. I have kept the name Charlotte, although you are of course welcome to change it if you wish. I have also dressed Charlotte as a girl, however please let me know if you would prefer to receive her dressed as a boy. 

I have taken many photos of Charlotte in my workshop in daylight. I have selected a small collection to share in this listing, but you can view all of the photos I’ve taken on my Facebook and Instagram pages.

I spent many hours carefully painting delicate details to reflect toddler skin tone. I used Genesis Heat Set paints with my dedicated oven for dolls to gradually build up realistic, layered skin tones over several weeks. To complete my work, I finished her skin with ‘Gemini Heat Set Matte Varnish,’ giving her a natural finish.

Charlotte has full chunky vinyl arms and full chunky vinyl legs, which can be moved for posing. Her head can also be turned. She has a high quality custom made cloth body and is weighted in her limbs, head, and bottom, with soft fibre fill surrounding the weighting for support and a realistic feel. Her head and limbs can be gently repositioned for natural posing and positioning.

 Charlotte has beautiful glass eyes in a stunning deep blue shade.

I have rooted Her upper eyelashes using premium dark brown Slumberland mohair, and I have delicately painted her lower lashes to create a natural and realistic look.

 

I spent several days rooting Charlottes thick hair. I used a soft alpaca auburn hair, this hair is extremely soft and fluffy, I wanted her to have thicker hair to suit her age. I have washed and conditioned her hair already. I would not recommend washing her hair too often, as it isn’t necessary, but occasional washing will be perfectly fine. Her hair is directionally rooted and has been sealed twice on the inside to help prevent over shedding.

 Charlotte is the size of a 11 month old toddler. I have found some 6-9 month size clothing fit her, as well as 12 month old size , just depends on brand and how you like the fit of clothing on your babies, All of the clothing I have purchased for her are a range of 6-9 month size and 9-12month, and I have given her shoe size baby UK 3.

Charlotte is weighted to approximately 12.5lb . I use fine glass beads and fibre fill. She sits upright but still has a weighted floppy head so can be positioned with her head upright or slightly tilted if you want her looking up at you. I had lots of fun posing her.

 Charlotte has a magnet fitted behind her mouth to enable her to hold her magnetic dummy (Please note, the magnets I use are extremely strong neo magnets and can pose a risk around pacemakers. If needed, feel free to message me to have them removed.)

If you are considering adopting Charlotte for a younger collector, please keep in mind that she is not a toy. She is very heavy, and contains small parts. She has been made with collectors in mind and must be handled with care and love.

 I am always very proud of my box packing, and I share videos of these on my social media pages. Charlotte will arrive with a full thoughtful box opening experience, including quality new items and accessories. as she is a big girl She will travel in a large box and this may require two people to carry, depending on your strength.
